OCNJ Weekly is the slightest between moments is captured. We are not only a magazine. We are a community, a classroom, a gallery and voice to everyone that loves time-lapse, hyperlapse and the art of filming change through a lens of time.

We opened OCNJWeekly.com because we are convinced that life is better enjoyed not only in stills, or stories, but in sequences. Time-lapse is less a photographic process but a matter of viewing the world in a different light, seeing the activity in inactivity, and making images that make stories evolve frame by frame. As a budding or a professional visual artist, our site will be your virtual community to learn, share, and discover all that is art and science in time-lapse.

Our mission is to enable a worldwide community of creators to take charge with smartphones, DSLRs (and drones) in hand by equipping them with the processes, skills and insights to perfect the dynamic craft of visual time capture.

OCNJ Weekly Organiser

We are a group of photographers, filmmakers, journalists, educators, coders, travelers and dreamers. We have had some of us who worked in Hollywood. Others in wildlife motion pictures. Part of the tech journalism. There are content creators whose jobs are based on creating content and there are those who do it on a hobby and with a great interest in visual storytelling.

The thing that connects us is that we all love to shrink the distance and broaden our scope.

The reason we have started OCNJWeekly.com is that we saw an opportunity to fill a niche; a gap between the one-off information available through online searches and the need to have information that is structured, thoughtful and artistically founded. One which isn t just telling you how to shoot a time-lapse, but also demonstrating why it is important.
